About Us

About Us

SOMOS Latinx Literary Magazine strives to cultivate a supportive space of expression for Brown and RISD’s Latinx students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as the greater Providence Latinx community. We hope to uplift our community’s explorations of heritage and individuality through a celebration of their art and creativity. Our publication promotes a dialogue which centers Latinx cultures, histories, and intersecting identities — especially those relating to Indigeneity, Blackness, migration, and queerness.

Join Us

Interested in joining our team? We have a variety of positions available including Publicity Managers, Language Editors (Spanish, Portuguese, and English), Design Editors, and Managing Editors. No prior writing or editing experience is necessary, we simply ask for creative vision and an enthusiasm for Latinx writing and art!
